TypeScript has been tremendous in helping developers scale out for large codebases. But as more and more code has been written, build times, editor responsiveness, and memory usage have become a problem for large teams. The TypeScript team recently announced an ambitious new effort in porting the compiler and toolset to a natively compiled language: Go. The project is already far along! So how did we get here, how have we made such great strides, and when can people start using it? We'll showcase the current state of the project, answer those questions, and talk about what it means for you and your team.
